Welcome!

This LibGuide supports your MGT 461 course work. It includes a core collection of resources for company, industry, and investment information available through the Walsh College Library.

Go to the organization's website for annual reports and other information.

Find 10K reports via the SEC (EDGAR) or FIS Mergent. How do I find a 10K report?

Walsh databases, such as FIS Mergent, Business Insights and EBSCO Business Source Elite can be used for company overviews, history, current context, strategy and trends.

Finding Financial Statements

You can find and review the company financial statements, and compare multiple years, using Factiva or FIS Mergent.

Finding Stock Report and Investment Analyses

You can find stock reports and investment analyses from Standard & Poor's Net Advantage, Value Line, Morningstar Investment Research Center, Business Insights and Yahoo Finance.

Finding News Articles

To find news articles about an organization and its industry, you can use databases such as EBSCO Business Source Elite, Factiva, ProQuest/ABI Inform Complete, and Academic Lexis Nexis. Use the organization's name and key words such as "history", "strategy", "industry", "trends", etc. to find helpful articles. Additional industry reports can be found in Factiva, FIS Mergent, Standard & Poor's Net Advantage, Business Insights and First Research. Also look for industry association websites.

Finding Demographic Information

With this database, researchers and entrepreneurs have access to comprehensive business and demographic information valuable to assess business viability. Users can create sales leads and marketing mailing lists, complete location analyses and business plans, analyze population trends, find potential sponsors and donors and much more. This database is useful for those who want to start a business as well as those who want to take their established business to the next level.
